Divine

Some facts about the lotus flower
*This plant is an aquatic perennial

*A common misconception is referring to the lotus as a water-lily. They are two different plants
*The lotus comes only in hues of pink

*The roots of Lotus are planted in the soil of the pond or river bottom, while the leaves float on top of the water surface. The flowers are usually found on thick stems rising several centimeters above the water.
*The lotus is the national flower of India and Vietnam

From ancient times the lotus has been a divine symbol in Asian traditions as a symbol of purity.
Drawing in turn on these beliefs, the international Bahá’í community adopted this symbolism in the design of the Lotus Temple in New Delhi, India

Space

I still struggle at times withe usage of colors and amount of color in my paintings. They lack a lot of negative energy which is kind of necessary to bring about a certain degree of freshness and presence. For this one I sat for almost 2 hours and composed it with some of my preexisting drawings.
(PS although inherently I still prefer them to be dark and moody. may be it comes out that way naturally :P)

Spring

Its getting pleasant day by day. It will get beautiful says S in West Lafayette in sometime. I can hardly wait for Spring...I love the Sun, heat, flowers and things bright and colorful.

Forest

This was a rather interesting piece. I had pictured my hand in the form of a deer head and added the forest scene in the background. It seems as though it is about to rain heavily, anytime now and the deer are gazing towards the sky in anticipation. This work turned out as I had expected it to.
