And, the box of medicines cures everything but pain. Maybe because the last time pain occurred was long back.
Anyhoo, some peice of shit. Shit too needs to come out.

Stuck somewhere in the middle.

To an year where nothing much really happened, besides adding heavily to the list of "should have". The only effort that I'll probably be making in 2012, is to not make any efforts. #paradox1. But then life was such in 2011, kept throwing back paradoxes at me. Anyways, for a person like me who constantly suffers from Analysis paralysis, making less effort is the least I can do. #paradox2. For instance this rant, which is/will be devoid of any proper punctuations.

Its been lovely 2 months at my mum's place with her and my baby girl. To be honest, I don't even remember how time flew by. All, I seem to remember is what my gynae said sometime in June "She is a small baby, we need to get the baby out as soon as possible". I shed a few tears not knowing why was she a small baby. What went missing.
Not that this judging myself has ended in any way. I know I am not "the perfect mother", but here she is, 6 months old, vibrant and a joy to each one of my days. I love her.

Its time to head back now. I start off 2012 with no plans, only hopes. Hoping that its a better one.

Claims that female foeticide has spread from a handful of states to most parts of the country.

So today, I decided that my laptop needs some heavy duty cleansing. If I had a choice I would dip it in a big bucket of warm water with strawberry fragrance, scrubbed it followed by blow dry. Given that its winters perhaps applied some moisturizer in the end, to keep it smooth.
Luckily, I discovered an old bottle of nailpolish cleaner and before you know it, the bottle was empty.
My laptop is sparkling now, almost like Edward.

I let go of my wisdom tooth yesterday. It kept bothering me for many days now. The dentist mentioned that it would be best to get it removed, else there might be chances of developing an infection.
The experince was almost next to a nightmare, no not the pain, but the unstoppable bleeding for almost 7 hours. I cried and cried and called the dentist who kept asking me to change cotton. I finished the complete cotton roll. Finally the dentist called me back and used gelatin to help clotting (DO NOT CLICK THE LINK UNLESS YOU ARE A BRAVE HEART)
The bleeding significantly reduced. Blame it on my thin blood. Argghhh I dont know. The only thing that's bothering me now is the antibiotics that I need to take for 5 days.
So much so for letting go.

Just some time back, while having a casual discussion about work/life etc with a cousin, I was startled at a remark she made. She said that the only problem managing work/life she faces is the abundance of choices. "There s far too many choices available, that's my problem", she said giggling.
If only I had one more choice, my life would probably be different, or may be I have the choice but my usual sense of logic or the lack of it, prevents me from choosing what I dint choose.
Its as if the mind is trapped within a box. The 180 degree movement that the eyes can make do see some possibilities, but its hard for the mind to break the barriers.

About two months backs, I had serious food poisoning after eating chicken in my office in lunch. That day I had decided that I am going to avoid eating non veg as much as possible. I have since then not eaten non veg until yesterday. A few friends were together and we decided to hop over to Barbecue Nation.
I am feeling awful, so is my tummy. So much so, for the weekend.

and I am in the middle of some office work. I remember those days when my partner and I were up till 2 or 3 in the night. Him doing his work or reading, while I used to create some drawings. It feels like yesterday. I miss that freedom, the freedom to choose to stay up late.
I feel like sipping a nice warm cup of coffee, and have some cookies. But dont have the energy to do so. :( Its not even the middle of the week and I am already feeling drained.
So here's my question to my friends in the blog world. What do you do, when you feel drained/ exhausted.

The last weekend, I decided to give canvas painting a try. I headed to Landmark and got me some Acrylic colors, Brushes and 2 small canvas boards. I was a little nervous before starting this experiment, after working on the digital medium all this while. Anyways I am satisfied with the result, but can do better.
Hub is leaving for a friend's wedding on the coming Saturday and will be back only on Tuesday. This will leave me quite some time for further trials :)

So I have put on almost 3 kgs after coming back to India. The reason being no exercise. Back in the US I was doing all the household chores myself, cooking healthy food for us and keeping things in check. Now with the job and stuff, it s tough to find time for these things. I still have breakfast and dinner at home, but lunch is in office. And, I think I end up eating more of it. I am planning to find some aerobics classes just for weekends(like an hour on Saturday and sunday).
This really sux, I cant any longer fit into my old jeans.
I ll seriously have to become more careful about the whole thing now. I so wish that the firm that I work with had a gym. That way I could have atleast, taken out some time out of those sedentary 10 hours in office. I will try and come up with some POA on it SOON.

Trust in a Relationship

While random surfing I found this small Google answer.

Trust in a relationship specifically must mean not asking for the other to prove
something. If you have the proof, you would not need the trust.
It's to not know, yet believe.

So how do people build up the initial trust?

As so often, we base  on the future by experiences of the past. There are two
very different approaches, one pessimist and doubtful, and one
optimist and hopeful. In real life, people are usually somewhere in
between the one or the other:
1. A person mistrusts another person, until eventually the other makes
it obvious over time the mistrust is unnecessary
2. A person trusts another person, until eventually the other makes it
obvious over time the trust is unjustified.

P.S. I will miss the snowfall. A few months more and it will be snowing again in USA.
:( I wont be able to see it anymore.

Feeling, Back

It is almost 15 minutes to 3 am in Bangalore. I type these words as I feel the moist wind on the 6th floor of an apartment complex where my husband and I are staying as of now. I have an office to reach at 9 tomorrow morning and there are no signs of sleep. I wonder how many more men/ women would there be like me, wondering about life at these odd hours when all that is visible is the sleepy city's high rise buildings. Yea, the buildings seem very sleepy and the few trees that exist by their side are exhausted. I do not like this wetness which stuffs up my nose and lungs and makes breathing hard for me, especially in the night. The doctors call it allergy and I will take time to get used to it, perhaps the medicines will make it easier in the coming days. I have opened my windows wide and the ceiling fan is doing its job.

I am back.

P.S. I miss USA and it is 3 am now.
